Last year, we interviewed the founder and CEO of Fresh Farms E-Liquid for our holiday issue. We had so many shops ask about them that we decided to make it our annual tradition! We sat down with their team again to find out more about their meteoric rise to the top of the industry.
EJM: Hey guys – it is so great to see everyone again! We couldn’t be happier for all your accomplishments in 2021. We figured that would be a good place to start: what are your principles for success?
Tony Devincentis (Founder/CEO): Thank you so much for having us back. We are thrilled to be a part of your holiday issue again! We can pare down our principles for success into three things:
1. Products
2. People
3. Progress
EJM: That’s amazing. Tell us more – what does that mean to you?
Tony: We have taken pride in bringing the highest quality products to market from the launch of our company. A simple litmus test in our office is – if a product or flavor gets us excited, there’s probably something there. If it doesn’t, why would we share that with anyone else?
Jake Audino (Co-Founder/VP): What Tony said. Also, when we look around the industry, there are so many products that have one element that is solid while something else is lagging behind. A lot of companies have good branding and average flavors. Or average branding and good flavors. It’s a crowded and competitive marketplace. At the end of the day, we want to be the best. We’ve also seen tremendous changes in the products that customers are asking for: we’ve gone from offering E-Liquid to salts, disposables, TFN, CBD, Delta SKUS, etc. The industry is constantly evolving and so are the products that people are asking for. Our catalog is so rich at this point – Fresh Farms, Fruitia, JUS, Fruitia x Esco Bars, HAPPI, Kush Burst, Pure Clear and more on the way.
EJM: So true. Okay, so that’s products. What about people?
Patrick Taylor (CMO): Our company is built on relationships. We believe that is the key foundational piece that continues to set us apart. Tony and Jake just touched on the quality of our products, but we believe it is the quality of our relationships that have brought us continued success. This year alone, we ran countless Strategic Marketing Campaigns with our partners of every size and scale, launched collaborations with other top companies including ESCO BARS, Delta Extrax and URB, to name a few. It’s those relationships that allow us to continue to grow in new, exciting and unexpected ways to continue delivering on the most important relationship of all: the relationship we have with our customers.
EJM: You have our vote. We absolutely love working with everyone at your company! Okay so Products, People and what about Progress?
Forrest Town (Co-Founder/VP): Progress is the name of the game and innovation never sleeps. We are extremely thorough in our market research – understanding the shifting trends in the industry. Progress is everything. Progress is exciting. American ingenuity at its finest. We are always looking to deliver the most innovative products to our customers, whether that’s Tobacco Free Nicotine, the best single-use devices, you name it. Speaking of innovation, we have been blown away by the response to our HAPPI line. Us launching the first 2ML Delta 10 Disposable is a great example of making progress toward not where the market is today, but to where it is going to be.
EJM: It’s so cool to see those principles in action. What’s next?
Gavin Mahoney (VP): We have so many projects in motion it makes my head spin. At the same time, it gets me excited because it gets our customers excited. The team has done such an incredible job of bringing one cutting-edge offering after another to the table. We have new and improved JUS 3K Bars coming, new flavors, more new devices, more collabs, more creative solutions to help our partners find continued success in the years to come.
EJM: Any last thoughts?
Tony: We want to thank you for having us back for the 2nd Annual Sit Down and more importantly, thank Midwest Goods for setting the standard for all other companies in our industry to follow. I say it all the time to our team: it has taken years to build the culture of our company to where it is today. We are grateful for the opportunities our partners have given us along the way and wish everyone success beyond their wildest dreams in the year to come!
